We are seeking a Strategic Engagement Project Officer, VIC/TAS/WA to join our organisation. Reporting to the Beyond School Transitions Strategic Engagement Manager and working alongside dedicated, energised, and passionate team members, this role will be responsible for planning and supporting careers suite programs and activities in metropolitan or regional Smith Family communities and will support the growth of the universal model of Work Inspiration in non-Smith Family communities.

 

About our role
 
You will be responsible for:

 

  • Identifying and developing pipeline of suitable Delivery Supporters to be matched for Work Inspiration Reach Out programs in consultation with other teams within the Smith Family as and when required.
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure that activities are run smoothly and meet the student and stakeholder needs.
  • Support the Growing Careers Project with input into and delivery again project plan deliverables.
  • Support Operations staff with school engagtement and program logistics.
  • Maintain databases and monitor activities to report on delivery against planned targets.

 

About you

 

As well as a passion for community, you will bring the following:

 

  • Relevant tertiary level qualification (e.g. career development; business; management) or equivalent experience in business; workforce development; project management; youth attainment and transition to work or related disciplines.
  • Excellent organisational, administration (including computer literacy) and time management skills with an ability to work autonomously. 
  • Experience in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead discussions and meetings in person and with a geographically dispersed work environment.
  • Intermediate MS Outlook, Excel skills and knowledge of CRMs.
  • Cold calling experience with a successful conversion rate.
  • Experience writing reports and using spreadsheets.
