The Smith Family is a national children’s education charity that works with children and young people experiencing poverty to overcome their circumstances and reach their full potential by providing holistic, long-term support for their education.
About the role
We are seeking a Regional Team Leader to provide guidance and direction in implementing regional strategy and culture to achieve impact and growth with high quality demands. Reporting to the Regional Programs Manager and working alongside dedicated, energised, and passionate team members, you will:
- Recruit, train and manage the performance of Team Leaders and other program leaders
- Oversee local Team Leaders and support induction of new team members by local leaders
- Manage performance by having regular one on one meetings; giving and receiving feedback via a coaching approach.
- Monitor processes for evaluating, reviewing and enhancing programs to ensure that they remain cost effective and centred on the needs of our participants
- Develop and implement operational planning and reporting, including programs and scholarship targets and maintenance
- Assist with the development and communication of the strategic goals of a region of the state and objectives as set out in the State Plan
About you
As well as passion for community, you will bring the following:
- Demonstrated experience in leading frontline leaders
- Demonstrated experience in managing staff performance and providing appropriate recognition
- Demonstrated experience in contributing to regional target setting in collaboration with senior state leaders and local team leaders
- Demonstrated experience in leading achievement of regional targets through data informed practice and risk mitigation
- Experience in supporting quality program implementation
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse stakeholder groups
