The Smith Family is a national children’s education charity that works with children and young people experiencing poverty to overcome their circumstances and reach their full potential by providing holistic, long-term support for their education.


About the role


We are seeking an experience Program Coordinator to plan and implement The Smith Family suite of Learning for Life programs within the Collingwood community.  You will maintain key relationships with a range of stakeholders, including families in the program, partner schools, community groups and volunteers. You will also be responsible for reporting and tracking the progress of the programs, including resources and budgets, contributing to The Smith Family vision.

 

Reporting to the Team Leader, Learning for Life and working alongside dedicated, energised, and passionate team members, you will:

 

  • Establish and maintain Partner School relationships and monitoring progress, planning, implementation and feedback on programs and activities.
  • Continually monitor program delivery and ensure the database has accurate and up to date information.
  • Advocate for and answer enquiries relating to The Smith Family educational programs.
  • Meet with fellow team members to discuss potential improvements that can be made to the programs.
  • Build relationships and work with community leaders and organisations to identify partnership opportunities.

 

About you


As well as passion for community, you will bring the following:

  • A genuine care about supporting the educational outcomes of young people.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining strong partnerships and relationship development.
  • Relevant experience managing and coordinating multiple programs simultaneously.
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate data.
  • Hold a current drivers licence.
  • Hold or be willing to undertake a Working with Children Check.
