About the role

 

We are seeking a Senior Policy Analyst to lead our Learning for Life Policy setting. This role is a critical element of the infrastructure guiding The Smith Family’s evidence based approach to supporting young people in education. Working alongside a highly skilled and dedicated team of policy experts who collectively inform the policy and reporting for our Learning for Life supports and programs, you will:

 

  • Be the policy lead for the Learning for Life program working in close collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders
  • Develop, analyse and review policy and program design for the Learning for Life program
  • Monitor and report on Learning for Life policy, policy changes and initiatives
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the research/literature which may impact on our work

 

 

About you

 

As well as passion for community, you will bring the following:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Social Policy or Research
  • Experience designing & developing program policy
  • Excellent analytical research skills, and experience in qualitative or quantitative research techniques and/or data analysis
  • Excellent conceptual skills and ability to synthesise complex information and translate for a policy setting
  • Strong written skills in a range of formats, and effective interpersonal communication skills with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
