The Smith Family is a national children’s education charity that works with children and young people experiencing poverty to overcome their circumstances and reach their full potential by providing holistic, long-term support for their education.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Marketing Coordinator who lives for a well-managed timeline, gets a genuine thrill from a clean proofread, and understands that fundraising isn't just marketing - it's mission-critical work that changes lives.

This position exists to lead project management of mass market fundraising activities, ensuring campaigns are developed and delivered seamlessly to drive sustainable income, supporter engagement, and long-term value. You will be the critical integration point between creative, data, and digital teams - spotting risks before they become problems and championing process improvements that make everyone's lives easier.

As a Senior Marketing Coordinator (Shared), you’ll play a key role in campaign project management of fundraising direct marketing initiatives. This is a shared role, reporting to Campaign Operations Manager, offering a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and gain exposure to diverse marketing projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own complex timelines across multiple fundraising campaigns, keeping all stakeholders aligned and accountable
  • Coordinate end-to-end campaign development with internal Marketing Teams and external partners
  • Review copy and artwork, and shepherd feedback through to final approval
  • Support reporting requests and help ensure campaign delivery is informed by accurate setup and timely inputs
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support and planning assistance to the Group Manager, Individual Giving

About you

You are a proactive, highly organised fundraising or marketing operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment - especially when multiple appeals are in-flight and everyone needs “just one more tweak” five minutes before deadline.

You will have:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering fundraising campaigns and appeals (direct marketing and/or integrated, multi-channel)
  • Strong project management capability: building and managing complex timelines, risks, approvals, and dependencies
  • Excellent attention to detail - especially for proofing, quality checks, and version control
  • Stakeholder management skills: you can chase approvals with warmth, clarity and just the right amount of persistence

Our benefits

Employees are at the centre of The Smith Family’s values and operations. By joining our team, you can expect to:

  • Find balance; with flexible work options and opportunities to purchase additional annual leave
  • Maximise your take home pay; with salary packaging, as well as opportunities to save with discounts at retailers across the country
  • Fulfill your potential, with excellent career opportunities, a suite of development programs and a dedicated learning and development platform
  • Feel you belong; with inclusive leave options, including paid parental, cultural and gender affirmation leave
  • Thrive; with support for you and your family’s mental and physical health including a complete care and safety platform, unlimited Employee Assistance and access to a huge range of fitness facilities with Fitness Passport
