Gifts in Wills play an important role in enabling our work and we seeking a senior marketing co-ordinator to drive marketing and supporter engagement activity across our Gifts in Wills team.

 

 

About the role

 

Reporting to the National Manager, Gifts in Wills, you will coordinate the planning and delivery of marketing and supporter engagement activity across The Smith Family’s Gifts in Wills program.

 

This is a hands on marketing coordination role where you will help bring campaigns and communications to life across direct mail, email, web, digital content, event materials and supporter communications. You will manage project timelines, develop briefs, coordinate creative and production, work with internal teams and external suppliers, and ensure activity is to agreed standards.

 

You will also support the Gifts in Wills supporter journey, developing engaging communications that build awareness and understanding of our Gifts in Wills function.

 

Working closely with fundraising, marketing, communications, supporter care and data teams, you will use supporter insights, campaign results and feedback to help improve future activity and ensure our communications remain respectful, donor centred and aligned with program objectives.

 

This role would suit an experienced marketing or fundraising coordinator who enjoys managing campaigns from planning through to delivery and is looking to apply their skills in a purpose led environment.

 

Key accountabilities

 

  • Coordinate Gifts in Wills marketing campaigns and supporter communications from planning through to delivery
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines and milestones to keep campaign activity on track
  • Prepare and coordinate briefs across copy, design, data, print, digital activity and reporting
  • Work with creative agencies, copywriters, designers, printers and other suppliers to deliver high-quality campaign materials
  • Coordinate stakeholder feedback and approvals and proofread materials to ensure communications are accurate, sensitive and on brand
  • Support communications and stewardship activity across different stages of the Gifts in Wills supporter journey
  • Coordinate supporter engagement activity including events, webinars, stories and impact content
  • Work with data and reporting colleagues on audience selection, segmentation and campaign reporting
  • Review campaign results, supporter feedback and enquiry trends to identify practical opportunities for improvement
  • Support test-and-learn activity across messaging, channels and supporter communications
  • Coordinate supplier quotes, invoices and campaign expenditure and maintain accurate project and campaign records

 

 

About you

 

You are an experienced marketing, or fundraising professional who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and getting involved in campaigns from initial planning to final delivery.

 

You are organised and comfortable managing multiple timelines, stakeholders and suppliers, with strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt as priorities shift.

 

You have experienced working in programs that require a respectful and sensitive approach and can help develop communications that are engaging for supporters.

 

You enjoy working collaboratively and are comfortable using data and insights to improve future activity.

 

Skills and experience

 

  • 4+ years experience in marketing, fundraising, communications, campaign coordination or supporter engagement
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating campaigns from planning through to delivery
  • Experience developing or coordinating communications across channels such as direct mail, email, web, digital content or events
  • Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines and stakeholders
  • Experience briefing and working with creative agencies, copywriters, designers, printers or other external suppliers
  • Strong written communication, proofreading and attention to detail
  • Experience coordinating stakeholder feedback and approvals and keeping projects progressing to agreed timelines
  • Some experience working with audience segmentation, campaign reporting, customer/supporter insights or post-campaign reviews
  • A relevant qualification in marketing, communications, fundraising, business or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Experience in fundraising, Gifts in Wills, supporter stewardship or the not-for-profit sector would be highly regarded
