The Smith Family is a national children’s education charity that works with children and young people experiencing poverty to overcome their circumstances and reach their full potential by providing holistic, long-term support for their education. We are now seeking a senior leader to join our Executive Team as the Head of Digital and Transformation.
About the role
As the Head of Digital and Transformation, you will shape and drive the digital, data, AI, and technology strategies supporting the organisation’s long-term growth. You will lead a national function responsible for delivering digital transformation, agile ways of working, and building security and data analytics capability. Reporting to the CEO, you will partner closely with your peers in the Executive Team to deliver solutions that support TSF’s strategic priorities.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the development and delivery of our digital, data, AI and technology strategies
- Oversee cybersecurity governance and ensure organisational resilience
- Drive agile transformation and continuous improvement across the business
- Build integrated digital platforms and scalable service delivery systems
- Strengthen data governance, analytics and AI capability across the organisation
- Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing national team
About You
You are a strategic leader with deep expertise in digital transformation, data and technology. You have a track record of successfully leading large teams through organisational wide transformation. You are a strategic thinker with strong influencing skills, able to build trust at Executive and Board level while ensuring strong operational delivery. You have a passion for scaling solutions and you are energised by the opportunity to lead technology transformation that delivers social impact.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor or Masters Degree in business or technology
- Executive-level experience leading digital transformation and/or digital strategy
- Strong background in leading and delivery within an agile environment
- Demonstrated experience in enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, cloud services, and AI applications
- Proven ability to lead large cross-functional teams and navigate complex matrixed environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills including with Board and senior executives
- Ability to drive and embed change. Inspire and influence a diverse workforce
- Ability to operate at strategic level and be able to go hands-on as needed
- Sector experience in NFPs, social impact desirable
