The Smith Family is a children’s education charity that helps young Australians experiencing disadvantage to create better futures for themselves through harnessing the power of education. 

 

We are seeking an experienced Family Partnerships Coordinator to join our organisation. Reporting to the Team Leader, Learning for Life and working alongside dedicated, energised, and passionate team members, this role will deliver and assist in areas of opportunities to the students on the Learning for Life program to for fill their educational needs. This role works closely with schools and community services to provide additional and ongoing support to participants of the program.

 

About the role

 

You will be responsible for:

 

  • Coordinating the delivery of the Learning for Life program in the Albion Park Community.
  • Working with a prioritised group of students and families on their identified goals and uses a collaborative process to develop actions related to these goals.
  • Link families with the services, information and support as identified.
  • Work with partner schools to build and maintain relationships to support the educational outcomes of Learning for Life students.

  • High-level interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in presenting and facilitating
  • Excellent organisational administrative skills (including computer literacy, data, and time management)
  • Demonstrated capability to manage and plan own work to achieve identified goals within time constraints.
  • Flexibility to respond to competing demands.
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Holds a current drivers licence
  • Have or willing to obtain an employee Working With Children's Check
