The Smith Family is a children’s education charity that helps young Australians experiencing disadvantage to create better futures for themselves through harnessing the power of education. 

 

We are seeking an experienced Operations Analyst to join our organisation. Reporting to the Operations General Manager, you will provide focused analytical and operational data and strategic advice to the state and National Operations Leadership teams (OLT). As a key member of the Operations team you will lead recommendations on strategic focus and direction through provision of data analysis, communication and coordination advice.  At The Smith Family, data is a crucial resource in helping us break the poverty cycle through education to give brighter futures to children living with disadvantage. 


About our role 

 

You will be responsible for:

 

  • Providing data analysis to support data driven decisions across our program delivery, practice focus areas, student outcomes and scholarship targets
  • Providing recommendations on strategic direction through provision of data analysis, communication and coordination supports for the state leadership team.
  • Developing and promoting a culture of data integrity and trust in data governance parameters 
  • Developing and delivering a regular set of reporting metrics
  • Collation and analysis of monthly operations reports for senior state Operations leaders

 
About you


As well as passion for community, you will bring the following: 

 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated project management/coordination skills
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting quality program implementation
  • Proven experience in establishing and maintaining relevant partnerships. Able to lead discussions and work with the wider State/Territory and National team members
  • Presentation and facilitation skills
  • Skilled in navigating complexity and ambiguity
